Green Sea Turtle

Blending art, nature, and play, the Green Sea Turtle by Charlotte Haywood and Edward Horne is a beautifully crafted site-specific sculpture located in Ross Park, Lennox Head.

Made from sandstone, blackbutt timber, copper, and concrete, the piece invites both contemplation and interaction — serving as a engaging sculpture that offers a space for play, meditation or gathering for families and children.

Celebrating the local green sea turtle, a species often seen in the nearby coastal waters, the artwork symbolises the connection between land and sea, and the delicate balance of the marine environment that defines Lennox Head. Its organic form offers a moment for reflection, relaxation, or creative play, seamlessly blending art with everyday life.
