The campsite sits on a grassy clearing next to our shed with sweeping valley views. Mornings often arrive wrapped in mist, while evenings bring golden light rolling across the hills. Wallabies graze at dusk, and if you’re lucky, you may spot a platypus gliding quietly through the water at sunset. Up the slope from the campsite you can wander through the old macadamia orchard and explore pockets of endangered subtropical rainforest. Despite its peaceful seclusion, you’re just 10 minutes from Federal, 30 minutes from Mullumbimby, and a scenic 50-minute drive from Byron Bay—making it the perfect base to explore the region before retreating back to your own private slice of rainforest.
