This hands-on filmmaking workshop is the perfect introduction to screen production for students in school years three to six, held at Muswellbrook Library.

Led by Allan Brady from Newcastle Film School, participants explore the core elements of visual storytelling and discover what it takes to bring ideas from the page to the screen. Through practical activities, students gain an understanding of the creative and collaborative process behind making movies.

The workshop covers story structure, camera basics including framing and movement, visual storytelling techniques, sound and performance, on-set filmmaking roles and basic editing concepts.

This inclusive workshop welcomes all students in years three to six, including those with additional needs. Children under 13 years of age must be supervised by a parent or carer at all times.
