Overview

Perched on a tree trunk in the Hunter Valley town of Kurri Kurri, the Big Kookaburra was built in 2009 to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the town's Hydro Aluminium. Standing at almost 5 metres tall, the statue was created by sculptor Chris Fussell and can be found in Col Brown Rotary Park at the centre of the town.
