Picnic Point Caravan Park

Set on the banks of the mighty Murray River, Picnic Point Caravan Park is a peaceful hidden treasure where life slows down and nature takes centre stage. Spanning 35 acres of shaded parkland, the park offers ensuite cabins, fisherman's cabins and spacious powered and unpowered camping sites, including riverfront options surrounded by lush greenery.

Days here are made for river adventures, fishing, paddling and exploring the nearby red gum forest. After a day outdoors, relax in comfortable ensuite cabins with cooking facilities, TV, air‑conditioning and heating (sleeping up to five), or choose one of the two basic fisherman's cabins that sleep six. Evenings invite simple pleasures: gather around an open campfire in designated fire drums, share stories under the stars, or try your luck catching an elusive Murray cod or Murray cray.

The park features large grassed and shaded sites, a swimming pool, 18‑hole mini golf, bush kitchens, a dump point, grassed play areas and a fully stocked kiosk with ice, petrol, gas and bait. It is dog‑friendly for pets on leads (not permitted inside cabins), with firewood available for purchase. A sandy swimming beach, boat ramp and BBQ area sit adjacent to the park, and a courtesy bus provides easy access to the Mathoura Bowling Club.
