Discover a weekend of inspiring music, relaxation and community at The Sound Sanctuary, set within the historic and beautifully restored Rutherglen Convent.

Enjoy live performances, peaceful sound baths, wellness sessions, practical workshops, community jams, percussion and immersive sound experiences - all in an intimate, relaxed setting. No musical experience is needed. Whether you join a workshop, come along for a concert or simply soak up the atmosphere, everyone is welcome.

This event will bring together some of Australia's most inspiring handpan and sound artists and facilitators, with our first round of announcements featuring Adrian Portia, Baran Yildiz, Christian Bianco and Unfathomable Frequencies.

Choose the experience that suits you. Immerse yourself in the full gathering from Thursday evening through to Sunday lunch, or drop in for one or two days. Camping and offsite accommodation options are available, giving you the flexibility to make a weekend of it and explore the picturesque Rutherglen region.

The Sound Sanctuary brings people together through music, shared experiences and connection, creating something uniquely its own in regional Victoria.
