The Highlands Garden Society is holding its annual Camellia and Spring Flower Show in Bowral. Members of the Society and members of the public are encouraged to participate by showing their blooms or displaying their floral arrangements. The schedule and set up time are available on the Society's website.
Professional judges have been invited to judge the exhibits and trophies are awarded for champions in selected categories and certificates for individual classes.
The show is held in the Uniting Church Hall, Bowral. A magnificent array of camellias and floral arrangements will be on display, and the public is invited to view the blooms and floral arrangements. An exhibit of heritage camellias by Trish Restante – Head Gardener at Camden Park will be featured. Prizes, trophies and judges comments will be presented. A guest speaker, Margaret Pope, Vice President, Camellia Ark Australia, will present on the topic "Heritage, Camellias, and You". A raffle prize of a rare and unusual Higo Shiranui Camellia Japonica donated by Sandra and Graham Ross will be drawn. Refreshments and food will be on sale at the event. Entry is by donation.
