Orange FOOD Week
Overview
What started out as an idea dreamt up by a small group of passionate local foodies over three decades ago has blossomed into a festival of national standing.
From humble beginnings in 1991, the Orange FOOD (Food Of Orange District) Week festival is now Australia's longest running regional food and wine festival and delivers a rich tapestry of events held over 10 days each year, during the local Autumn harvest and vintage season.
The ever popular Sampson Street Lunch and Forage have become an annual pilgrimage for many, and with over 100 events in the program across the 10 days, there are a host of food and wine experiences to be explored spanning long lunches, dinners, workshops, tours, parties and more.
FOOD Week is a celebration of the region's abundance, championing the provenance of the Orange region's produce, celebrating local heroes and positioning the region as one of Australia's most aspirational culinary tourism destinations – where every week is food and wine week.
