Black Gate Reserve is one of the five Bridle Track campsites is accessible from Bathurst via the Box Ridge Road circuit.

Ideal for tents or off-road camper trailers. Plenty of space to set up tents or camper trailer on the wide open grassed areas by a shallow section of the Macquarie River. Single drop toilet available, and some picnic tables available.

Always check weather conditions and especially fire ban alerts. Take all rubbish away with you when leaving. Shallow swimming area to keep cool or drop a fishing line.
