The Tap Conductor

The Tap Conductor is a theatrical journey through memory, time, and the untameable pulse of rhythm. Blending virtuosic tap, physical theatre, contemporary movement, and a live band that must chase the dancer rather than lead him, the work flips the traditional hierarchy of music and movement on its head.

At its centre is the Tap Conductor - brilliant, obsessive, vulnerable. His feet become the baton. His rhythms summon continents, characters, and forgotten moments. Musicians emerge not as background, but as co-conspirators in a playful battle between control and surrender.
