Tucked into the Kamay Botany Bay National Park with views across to Bare Island, Congwong Beach is a stunning, protected bay surrounded by natural bushland. This little Sydney gem is surprisingly lesser-known, but the carpark still fills up quickly during hot summer days. It’s a short walk along Congwong track to the beach, where gentle conditions make it perfect for all levels of swim prowess, from lap swimmers to paddling toddlers.
There are toilets and you’ll find cafes just outside the National Park. Often, a boat selling ice-creams will come close to shore for those after a cool treat.
