Our EARLY AVIATION HERITAGE:
Hargraves and Kingsford Smith

Explore selected artefacts of early Australian aviation heritage as follows:
- Inspection of the Australian Aviation Hall of Fame in which Lawrence Hargrave is the Number 1 inductee
- Briefing by the Lawrence Hargrave Society about the pioneer work of Hargraves in both developing the workable aerofoil and the Radial aero engine
- Hargraves models and a full-size model of the da Vinci flying wing
- Replica of Sir Charles Kingsford Smith aircraft – Southern Cross- a Fokker Trimotor being rebuilt back to flying condition at HARS
- Heritage archives showing the blueprints from which these and similar aircraft were manufactured in Australia

HARS is a world class collection of historic aviation planes and artefacts, based at Albion Park, NSW, approximately 1.25 hours drive south of Sydney. Or travel by train and walk from Albion Park Rail station.
