Montague Island Lighthouse Visit
Come for a cruise out to Montague Island. You can sit down the front on the way out if you like and, depending on the season, spot dolphins riding the bow wave, migrating whales, flying fish skimming the waves or flocks of sea birds. Land at the jetty and meet your National Parks and Wildlife Service (NPWS) guide who will enthral you with history and anecdotes.
When you climb the lighthouse you will be greeted by the most beautiful view. The lighthouse is a masterpiece of fine masonry. You might see nesting little penguins if you come in spring. After your guided tour, Island Charters will take you to view the fur seal colony before a leisurely cruise home. Don't forget your cameras and wear comfortable shoes for the walk.
