For a New Year’s Eve celebration you’ll be sure to love, look no further than any one of the exciting events on around the state to bring in 2014.
Without further ado, here’s a selection of some of the events going on around NSW this year.
Victoria Park in Bathurst has been celebrating the New Year in style since 2009 – and the celebrations have gotten bigger every year. This is a great one for the family to head along to with great attractions such as jumping castles, rides, live bands, shows, spot prizes, plenty of food and, of course, a spectacular fireworks show at 9pm.
Held at the Wollundry Civic Precinct and the Victory Memorial Gardens, this event will host a range of live bands, children’s entertainment and two fireworks displays. There is food and drink on offer, as well as stories and clowns for the kids and plenty of atmosphere to enjoy as you spend time with family and friends.
This event is one for the grown-ups, with canapes, a four-course meal and plenty of fine wine and drinks throughout the night. One more thing making this Pokolbin event even more exciting is the theme – everyone in attendance will be dressed to the nines in red or white. Bring in the New Year in style at this charming restaurant with a few friends and an unforgettable and delicious experience.
Get down to the Wollongong Harbour Foreshore Park in Belmore Basin from 7pm for a fun evening of entertainment. The fireworks show kicks off at 9.30pm and a collection of stilt walkers, jugglers, face painters, roving characters, clowns, buskers and balloon animal artists will be at the event to keep the kids happy for the evening. Plus, there will be stalls to explore and amusement rides to get in a few thrills in the last few hours of 2013!
The Entrance is hosting a fantastic New Year’s celebration, so if you’re in the area you have every reason to gather up the family and head to this exciting event. The fireworks will kick off at 9pm and all the entertainment at this venue is geared towards families so you are guaranteed an alcohol-free evening with plenty of festive spirit.
This event has a little bit of everything to see in the New Year. Book yourself a ticket to the Mariners vs Perth football game at Bluetongue, and get with it a free entry to the races at the Gosford Race Club, then follow it all up with an evening on the waterfront with fireworks and heaps of live entertainment. With something for everyone to enjoy throughout the day, it’s a good one to get the whole family along to, so you can spend a full day together making the most of the exciting atmosphere and entertainment on offer.
This event is more than just an evening experience! Now in its 25th year, the Tropical Fruits GLBTI social club in the Northern Rivers will be celebrating with three days of partying, beginning on New Year’s Eve. The theme for this year is ‘Rainbow Circus’ so is sure to involve plenty of madness and carnival flair with acrobatics and performances. You can camp here for accommodation in one of the themed areas and have all the facilities you need on site.
