The 17.7 km return trip to Gerringong Falls is well worth the effort. Situated in the stunning Budderoo National Park, the walk passes through many creeks and falls, to a secluded swimming pool, which overlooks the entirety of Kangaroo Valley. Wildlife saturates these falls, including black cockatoos, echidnas and wallabies.
The Bendeela Camping and Picnic Area located next to Nelson’s Creek provides the perfect free camping destination for your weekend. The camping ground is well maintained with clean and tidy facilities. Experience beautiful surrounds and wonderful native wildlife as wombats and wallabies roam freely through the day and night.

The Friendly Inn Hotel is a town favourite, and it attracts travellers from Sydney, Canberra and the Illawarra region. If you fancy a drop on your weekend escape, nestled in the hills are some beautiful wineries including Yarrawa estate. The cellar door is open Saturdays and Sundays, or by appointment.
Designed by Jack Newton, the golf course is one of the most picturesque yet challenging courses in Australia. The beautiful topography of the course is a site to see itself carved into the side of a mountain. Enjoy 18 holes for around $35 then head to the Woolshed Restaurant for a delicious meal Friday to Sunday.
