Like so many other people, I got into the new age of digital photography by buying a new camera and just going around taking happy snaps.
Back in 2012 while away with a friend, I took a photo which later my friend captured a photo from the exact same spot but using a DSLR camera. He showed me his photo which by contrast was of so much higher quality. So I went out and got myself a DSLR camera.
Early in 2014 while planning an overseas holiday I started to get more interested in photography – wanting to come home with that magical shot and have it put on the wall for all to see. I started to read, watch and learn from as many well-known photographers that I could. Still today I am learning and striving to do the best I can.
Being born and still living in the Illawarra area of NSW I have the perfect place to practice my new found passion of photography. Be it a sunrise over the ocean, or perfect sunset over the mountains, every day is a new beginning and a challenge to capture that special moment in time forever.
