Growing up in Sydney’s Sutherland Shire, I always had an affinity with nature. Building cubby houses in the bush and swimming at the ‘needles’ gave me a great appreciation for the outdoors, which has carried with me to today.
I got into photography in the late 2000’s, as a really good mate of mine had a DSLR and I loved seeing him create images. Initially it was put it in ‘P’ for settings and press the trigger. A bit of early advice pointed me in the right direction and into a fairly steep learning curve. Since then I have taught myself and drawn inspiration from fellow peers, and feel that I am working towards creating images which can convey an emotion or mood in the viewer.
I have recently changed careers, enabling me to spend a bit more time on my passion for photography, and I can’t wait to explore more of Sydney and NSW, sharing my journey along the way.
I really hope I have challenged you to get out and enjoy what we have around us.
