My name is Emily Parisi and I’m a landscape photographer from Wollongong. I try to get out to take photos on my days off from studying at the University of Wollongong. Living on the NSW South Coast I am spoilt with beautiful locations to photograph, from the white sands of Jervis Bay to the rainforests of the Illawarra escarpment.
I spend most of my time in and around the ocean, particularly the Kiama Coast. There is an abundance of wildlife around the coast and I often see dolphins, whales, stingrays and seals on my adventures. A five minute drive to the west in Wollongong and you’re in the escarpment which is also home to lots of wildlife like wallabies, wombats and echidnas. Being surrounded by this scenery and wildlife is why I love living in Wollongong.
There is no need for me to travel very far to take photos which has helped me build on my skills and showcase my work.
