6 October 2013
From Friday October 25 to Sunday October 27, hundreds of classic American autos, hot rods, dragsters and low-rider bicycles will draw thousands of visitors to Memorial Park at The Entrance, Central Coast for three days of shows, food, music and good old fashioned rock ‘n’ roll.
Last year saw 550 vehicles attract an estimated 55,000 visitors for the weekend, and those numbers are only expected to rise for this year’s event.
One of the main events will be the ‘show n shine’ held on the Sunday where car enthusiasts will be showing off their pride and joys for the world to see. Expect plenty of chrome, plenty of power and a lot of gorgeous cars that will make you dream of owning one of these beasts some day.
If you’ve got young ones in tow, stop by the attractions set up especially for the kids such as the hula hoop competition or the dance-off!
Vintage fashion is a given, so feel free to hire some retro outfits for your clan or simply be prepared to admire the glamour and glitz of other visitors over the weekend.
Nothing goes hand in hand with a weekend away at the Chromefest quite like some good quality food and drink, so be sure to check out some of the great restaurants, bars and cafes around the venues when you start to feel nibblish. Anything from pancakes, to thai, to ice cream is available from one of the many options, so you’ll be sure to find something for everyone. There’s plenty of accommodation at The Entrance and nearby so be sure to book in a place to stay soon.
Continuous rock and roll through the weekend will keep your toes tapping and the cars will be shiny enough to see yourself in, so plan your weekend away in the Wyong Area and join in on the fun!
