Legendary Illawarra based singer/songwriter, composer and artist Jodi Phillis (The Clouds, Dearhunters, Roger Loves Betty) is releasing her 6th solo album, We Need To Be Free (Cheersquad Records).
Jodi Phillis first made her mark with alt-rock band The Clouds. Jodi’s striking commitment to broadening her own practice through varying musical styles, including chamber-folk, orchestral, alt-country, rock, art, jazz and dream-pop, makes her a formidable ‘music chameleon’.
To celebrate its release, Jodi is touring the Eastern states of Australia with her band – featuring guitarist, composer Damien Lane, Matt Steffen and Phil Lally.
Performing a set to open the night is fellow 90’s rock icon Richie Lewis of Tumbleweed fame, in trio mode.
