A play inspired by tragedy, resilience and hope.

Who cares for the carers? Professionals devote their working lives to caring, but can a doctor or nurse give the best possible care if they haven’t slept for days? This unflinching, compelling verbatim theatre work explores the inherent challenges of the healthcare industry.

Based on more than 30 in-depth interviews with doctors and nurses about their experiences of training and working in hospitals, Grace Under Pressure is a surprising, intimate and deeply moving theatre experience that reveals the hidden stories of health professionals in their own words.

Ranging from wildly funny to utterly heartbreaking, the stories within Grace Under Pressure are performed with a sense of intimacy, immediacy and urgency. From award-winning theatre-maker David Williams (The Table of Knowledge, Quiet Faith), this beautifully staged and disarmingly delivered work is a truly unique theatre experience.
