Lanterns on the Lagoon and Sculptures in the Park is a Spring Festival celebrating community, environment and culture.
Lanterns on the Lagoon features a sculpture competition, the sculptures being created from recycled and natural materials. The sculptures are displayed in Pioneer Park by the Tumut River, and the magnificent trees and beautiful lagoon provide a serene backdrop for the works of art. During the evening the sculptures are enhanced by solar lighting giving them another dimension.
Lanterns are released onto the lagoon just prior to dusk, and become a spectacular display of light and reflection.
Children's activities and inspiring musical performances enhance the evening all at no cost to the public, and a variety of gourmet food and drink stalls are available.
