Nestled between the river and the roadside of Barry Way, Running Waters campground is a terrific place to escape the crowds of Jindabyne during winter and even better in the warmer months. Surrounded by eucalypts and cypress pines, it offers plenty of space for small and large groups alike. Bring the extended family and settle down for a long weekend of picnics and relaxation in this stunning Kosciuszko National Park setting.

With plenty of resident kangaroos, wallabies and emus, photography opportunities are everywhere. Birdwatchers will also find much of interest, and a short drive to the nearby Jacks lookout offers stunning scenic views and further chances for a spot of birdwatching to observe the local birds close-up.

But where this campground particularly shines is in its offering of water sports. Easy access to the river means this is an ideal spot for fishing, paddling, and liloing. Pack a tent and wood for the barbecue, but be sure to prioritise swimmers (and maybe a kayak) to make the most of your natural escape.

Disabled access available, contact operator for details.
