Volunteers of the Cooma Monaro Railway Inc conduct regular working bees to improve the Railway buildings and surrounds. The group is making great progress with the restoration work - the station buildings have been extensively restored and they are looking forward to opening a museum exhibition in 2021. Offers of assistance or donations are gratefully accepted.

The popular CMR Fresh Produce Market operates from the platform on the second Sunday each month, allowing visitors the opportunity to buy fresh produce from a growing list of local stallholders and view the station restoration.

The next rail project will be the repair and restoration of the quad’s trailer, which is essential for moving sleepers and tools around the track as we prepare more and more of our rail corridor for operations. Work is also progressing with the temporary locomotive display shed for steam locomotive 3203 when it arrives.

Budding rail restoration volunteers should contact secretary@cmrailway.org.au to register their support.

Actively welcomes people with access needs.
