Wakulda, Weaving our Stories As One, is an immersive, sound and light projection onto the Port Macquarie Historic Courthouse, on Clarence Street. This 10-minute production will envelope the audience, telling the important stories that make up the rich history of Port Macquarie from our traditional owners of the land, the Birpai people, right through to the current day of the Bicentenary of European settlement in April 2021.
Wakulda is a Federally-funded legacy project and is screened twice nightly, visit the webpage for nightly screening times.
This event is proudly presented by Port Macquarie-Hastings Council. The Wakulda Digital Projection received funding by the Australian Government under the Local Roads and Community Infrastructure Program; Regional Tourism Bushfire Recovery grants program, an Australian Government bushfire recovery initiative; Building Better Regions Fund; as well as Port Macquarie-Hastings Council.
