Basket Cases! Monthly Weaving Circle
Sunday 04 June 2023 to Sunday 07 January 2024 (MONTHLY event)
Overview
Come sit with them under the trees at Yarrawarra and learn the various traditional weaving techniques of the Gumbaynggirr People.
Gumbaynggirr Weaver and Artist, Lilly Clegg, teaches a different weaving style each month and provides all the fibres and decorations, but always welcomes people bringing fibres of their own to use or share and they always appreciate donations of Bangalow Palm Fronds (the chunky ends) for making water-carriers.
The Weaving Circle runs on the first Sunday of every month and is AUD30 per person.
The Weaving Circle is Free for Gumbaynggirr Men and Women.
