The Maitland and Morpeth String Quartet

Overview
The Maitland & Morpeth String Quartet by Nicholas Enright is a tale of music and romance which takes root in the sleepy town of Maitland and the neighbouring village of Morpeth.
Maitland Regional Art Gallery has commissioned composer David Banney to create new music for a string quartet which will be accompanied by narration delivered expertly by retired ABC broadcaster Paul Bevan. Also screening will be the animated film produced and directed by Anne Jolliffe, at the Maitland Town Hall – a local landmark which also appears as a character in the story.
Whether you are a fan of music, animation, or local history, this Maitland and Morpeth story is sure to leave a lasting impression, bringing the magic of this unique corner of Australia to life in an entirely new way.
