Bring the kids outside to enjoy some fresh air and let their creativity flow.
The Levee is hosting Free Art by the River during the school holidays.
Using the iconic Hunter River as inspiration, local artist Katrina Holden will provide tips and tricks on how to capture landscapes using watercolour and collage techniques.
Perfect for all ages with a focus on primary and school-aged children.
The workshops take place on the riverside walk near the Bourke Street Link (the walkway with the mural of the red trees). This is at the eastern end of The Levee Shared Zone with nearby stores Colour Mix'n'Match and CJ's on The Levee.
Each session runs for 30 minutes. Ten participants per session.
Pure joy as you wake to the sunrise. Awe as you make it to the snowy peak. A sense of adventure as you motor across red plains. The relief of rejuvenation as you wade into an alpine stream. Connection as you taste native, fragrant leaves. A sense of belonging as you return to your favourite holiday house. Freedom as you dash into the waves. Discover the endless feelings a visit to NSW can inspire.
