Poachers Pantry Smokehouse Restaurant & Wily Trout Vineyard
Poachers Pantry is nestled in the hills just 30 minutes from Canberra’s CBD. It is a business built around the love of good food and wine and the sharing of it with family and friend. Located on a rural property, its artisan smokehouse and cool climate vineyard are showcased in its contemporary restaurant, cellar door and farm shop.
The restaurant’s menu revolves around the smoked meats made on the property and the wines from its vineyard but there are dishes that suit all dietary requirements. Try the smoked duck breast – a Sydney Royal Show Champion – matched with the pinot noir which is grown on the hill that overlooks the Nanima valley. In summer the terrace is a lovely spot to enjoy a Poachers charcuterie board and a glass of wine. In winter the log fire is the place to enjoy a slow-cooked dish with a glass of Shiraz.
