Barkala Farmstay is a working Australian farm and also the home of the famous Pilliga Pottery. A Farmstay is a different type of holiday where you can do as much or as little as you want while staying on a farm. Accommodation and amenities suit the surroundings – at Barkala Farm they are a delightful combination of hand-built European and Australian-style guesthouses.

Come and stay on the working farm, Barkala, where you can wander the 12,000 acres that is home to cows, goats, sheep and horses and also chickens, ducks, and guinea pigs. Pick one of the eco-friendly unique hand-built guesthouses to stay in and soak in the rustic atmosphere.

They offer home-cooked delicious meals in the licensed Blue Wren Bush Cafe. Barkala Farmstay is home to Pilliga Pottery and they offer pottery classes, bird watching and bush walks at this magical place. The farm animals are always lots of fun to visit during your stay. The swimming pool is a great treat in the heat of Summer. In the Winter season, you can collect your own firewood on the property. Campfires are allowed if the season permits.
