Murray Art Museum Albury (MAMA) presents a selection of new acquisitions, new commissions, and returning favourites from the vast permanent collection.

Collection presents a broad range of artwork across the museum's six galleries, with a variety of conversations occurring in various parts of the museum. These include considerations of colonial impacts on this continent, First Nations artists' perspectives of frontier violence, and historical and contemporary representations of landscape. Elsewhere, pockets of artworks look at family relationships, isolation and the process of grieving, as well as moments of artistic self reflection questioning where inspiration comes from and how ideas then become material.

Collection shares artistic voices from the museum's seventy three year collecting history, including artworks from the mid 1800's to those produced today. The variety of perspectives within the exhibition create an offering that asks for pause and reflection in our tumultuous contemporary moment.

While visiting MAMA, don't miss MAMA Store, a showcase of independent Australian designers and makers of our region. Dine in our museum restaurant, Canvas Eatery, on the northern terrace of the museum, and enjoy views of QEII Square.
