Children's School Holiday Weaving Workshops

10:00am to 12:00pm Monday 15 April 2019 (Quarterly event)

Classes run each morning during the school holidays. Groups are kept small so your child will settle in quickly and have plenty of individual attention. Children have their own floor loom to work on and a short introduction will have them mastering the workings of the loom, leaving them free to be creative with colour and texture.

Your child will create a woven piece of cloth to take home. What they make, and the details they include are their own choice. They guide, encourage and help, but allow the children full control of their own creativity. There is a wide range of materials available including wool in every colour of the rainbow, fabric strips, beads, buttons, fibre and lace.

They will also be exploring carding, yarn dyeing and simple sewing stitches. And of course, a visit to the alpacas whenever possible. Please check the website for details.

No experience necessary.

Materials and morning tea all supplied.
Suitable for all school aged children.
Parents are very welcome to stay, have a coffee, weave with your child or relax in the garden
