Rainbow on the Plains Festival
Event dates to be confirmed: March 2022
The Rainbow on the Plains Festival is an event that celebrates diversity and inclusion, while creating awareness about the LBGTI community, mental health and the importance of social inclusion and connectedness in rural communities.
The event started as a discussion between friends who wanted to participate in the 40th celebration of the Sydney Mardi Gras. The concept was embraced and the first ‘Rainbow on the Plains’ festival was held in 2018.
Rainbow on the Plains is a three day festival of Arts, Culture, Music, Dance, Sport, Diversity and Divas.
The celebrations include something for everyone - Friday evening opening night show, Street Parade, Art Competition/Exhibition, Fair Day, Masquerade Dance Party and Picnic Day.
