Royal Mail Hotel Braidwood

The Royal Mail Hotel Braidwood was built in 1890 and is a family-owned business run by Jamie and his daughter Bonnie and granddaughter Gracie. The Royal Mail Hotel (formerly Royal Hotel) served as a staging point for coaches in the gold rush and early settlement. The name change was made in 1970 when the Mick Jagger film, Ned Kelly utilised the pub for a variety of scenes.

Wholesome country style meals for lunches and dinners are served in the Bushranger Restaurant daily.

The function room and beer garden combined with friendly, welcoming staff make this grand old pub a great place to visit and stay.

Bonnie and Gracie are working hard on renovating and restyling the hotel to bring it back to the original glory that it deserves. We have renovated the guest rooms and will start renovations to the shared bathrooms in the accommodation space in the new year. The bar area will be the next big project once the bathrooms are complete. Come in and see the wonderful changes and progress every time you visit.
