Pig Races at the Laggan Pub
Saturday 13 February 2021
A day of fun for all the family in the beautiful village of Laggan.
Come early for the Laggan Village Markets, where you can buy the best and freshest local produce, then experience classic country festivities at the Laggan Pig Races, being held in the grounds of the historic Laggan Hotel.
Watch as highly trained, elite young pig athletes race to get to the end of a challenging course and receive a tasty treat!
Other activities on the day include live music and children's jumping castle.
This event also features a Porkfest, with a tantalising and tasty selection of pork dishes to choose from, including local pork sausages, pork on a spit and pork and sauerkraut.
All proceeds go the Upper Lachlan Foundation, which is a part of the Capital Region Community Foundation, known as Greater Good. All funds raised by the Upper Lachlan Foundation go to supporting local community organisations and groups.
This event coincides with the Crookwell Irish Heritage Weekend which is a celebration of Traditional Irish song, music and dance. Crookwell and surrounds have plenty of accommodation options available, so why not stay awhile and make a weekend of it!
