This year Inverell will again host the finish of the 61st Grafton to Inverell Cycle Classic which follows the Gwydir Highway from the Clarence Valley to the New England Highlands. The event has the reputation as the toughest one-day cycle race in the country and is part of AusCycling’s National Road Series. It attracts the leading riders in the country as they take on the 228km journey including the formidable 17km climb up the Gibraltar Range.

The Race begins in Grafton at 7.15am, and concludes in Inverell between 2pm and 3pm, depending on race conditions.

Enjoy the spectacle as the riders race towards the finish in Vivian Street. The race is covered live on Radio STA FM 91.9 and there will be event activities for the family at the finish precinct in Victoria Park from 11am.
