Lachlan Valley Railway Society is a non-profit, railway preservation society based in the NSW Central Western town of Cowra. We are a passionate and dedicated society devoted to the preservation and operation of various examples of New South Wales Government Railway trains, ranging from our operational steam and diesel locomotives, to our fleet of heritage passenger railway carriages, and our diesel ‘Tin Hare’ CPH railmotors.

This is a unique Railway museum featuring an authentic (circa 1923) Locomotive Depot and Steam Roundhouse. Light refreshments, videos, books and souvenirs can be purchased from the main entry building. Barbecue facilities are available on site as are toilets and rest areas. Guided tours are available daily and bus/group tours by arrangement.

Actively welcomes people with access needs.
