Each year, Rockley gardeners open the gardens to the public during the festival to showcase the village, its gardens, historic buildings and the artwork of Rockley’s growing artistic community.
There is a program of activities including music in the gardens, floral displays, horticultural talks, wine tasting and good food and beverages.
There will be a special exhibition of glass art which will form part of the festival this year to celebrate the International Year of Glass.
The festival is staged to raise funds to maintain and renovate The School of Arts Hall (1890) which is another of their 19th-century buildings that are in dire need of repair. This building is the first architectural commission of architect John Job Copeman.
