Portland is part of the gateway to the Central West and is ideally located between Oberon, Mudgee, Bathurst and Lithgow and the Blue Mountains. The town is surrounded by beautiful countryside and has many areas for bushwalking. It is close to the Wollemi and Gardens of Stone National Parks.Portland is only 2.5 hours from Sydney. It is an easy 40 minutes to Bathurst and 30 minutes from Lithgow. The town is of interest as an historic mining town and as the place of the first cement works in Australia.We have a 5 acre property of mainly flat land with a barn style shed available for your use and we only allow one group per booking.You must bring your own tents for sleeping in and your own towels.The shed has a full kitchen, toilet, bathroom, laundry and lounge room with large screen TV.Pets are allowed, on leash and under control. We have a few sheep and cows.
