Penelope Hale: The Patchwork of Childhood

Thursday 29 March 2018 to Sunday 22 April 2018

The Patchwork of Childhood is a celebration of the moments in early life that on the surface may seem ordinary. When viewed as a collection it can be seen that smaller moments, however mundane, help shape the greater childhood experience. These are the things you remember when you reminisce; that lounge, those cups, your beloved blankie.

Penelope Hale uses a documentary approach to photography. Displaying a mixture of personal and client work in this digital print exhibition, gallery visitors of all ages are invited to pause and reflect on their childhood experiences as they move through the work.
