Exhibition: Big Swinging Ovaries by Jess de Wahls

Friday 01 June 2018 to Monday 25 June 2018

Berlin-born, London-based Jess De Wahls is known as the ‘enfant terrible of British textile arts’ for her boundary-pushing, provocative, contemporary fibre art. She is heading to the Blue Mountains in June to premiere her first and only Australian exhibition here at Platform.

The exhibition will feature Jess’ signature embroideries, where her ovary motif is stylised into various maximalist patterns, including ovaries as cacti, rainbows, and as David Bowie and Frida Kahlo.
