Peak Hill Visitor Information Centre - Peak Hill

Peak Hill is situated on the Newell Highway approximately half way between Parkes and Dubbo in Central Western New South Wales.

It is home to the popular tourist gold mine attraction 'The Open Cut Experience'. Experience the interesting walking trails with views over five open cut pits, also a bridge walk over historical mine workings from early mining days. These workings depict the challenges early miners faced extracting the gold from extremely deep and narrow shafts.

Peak Hill is centrally situated for easy access to the Goobang National Park, opportunities for leisurely drives, bush walking and camping within the park.

Call in and talk with the friendly staff at the Peak Hill Visitor Information Centre. They will be happy to help you with all accommodation, dining, tourist drives, antique, art and craft shop information.
