Attraction - Visitor Information Centre

Located in Thunderbolt Country, New England, Northern NSW, gateway to the Gorge Country and the centre of Bushranger 'Captain Thunderbolt' activity. See his grave site and the fabulous McCrossin's Mill, which houses a large collection of memorabilia on the Bushranger and the 1850's gold rush amongst local artefacts, aboriginal diorama and a host of other things serious and amusing.

Uralla boasts three or four antique shops, five coffee shops, a couple of hot bread shops and three art galleries mixed in with a heritage walk that includes buildings from the mid 1860's to the present day. Spend an hour and wish you had spent a week in our beautiful town.

At the Visitor Centre there is an extensive gem collection well worth having a look at. There are even some diamonds that were found in Uralla.
