James Estate continues a tradition started some 30 years ago when vineyard and winery practices were commenced on the estate property situated in the Upper Hunter Valley region of New South Wales. The vineyard is situated in the Upper Hunter Valley in New South Wales, 10 kilometres from Rosemount Estate and 18 kilometres from Denman, a renowned quality vineyard area.
Surrounded by the Wollemi National Park, James Estate enjoys an enviable position with sweeping views of the Goulburn River from their spacious cellar door sales and tasting area.
The property and winery cover 1,560 acres with planting capacity for 850 acres. The area experiences an average rainfall of approximately 750 millimetres, and half of this rainfall occurs during the growing season.
