Kangaroo Valley Agricultural and Horticultural Show - Exhibitions and Shows The Kangaroo Valley Show is a good example of a rural show and features the stock and produce as well as the cooking and crafts of a small country town.
Attractions include: Cattle, horse and dog events, poultry, produce, flowers, handcrafts and cooking displays, the wood chopping competition, iron person competition, talent quest, sideshows and rides and parachutists from Albatross. A rodeo is held on Saturday evening on the completion of ring events.
Most people who travel to Kangaroo Valley are happy to picnic beside the Kangaroo River, walk across Hampden Bridge, hire canoes and go for a row on the Kangaroo River, visit the craft shops, food shops and tea rooms in the village, and just generally relax. The more adventurous can go bushwalking, and those determined to push on can wind their way up from the valley and head towards the dramatic Fitzroy Falls which tumble over the escarpment. The valley is almost entirely surrounded by sheer sandstone cliffs.
