• Self Guided Tour of the Tomaga River Hire a single or double sit on top kayak for paddling on the Tomaga River, Hire a single or double sit on top kayak for paddling on the Tomaga River, a tidal estuary system lined with mangroves, full of birdlife. Large stingrays are common and fish breed in the sea grass beds. A great, fun option for all ages - kids love it.
  
  The hire location is from the Region X base in Mossy Point. Follow the signs marked "kayak hire" to the Region X boatshed which sits on the banks of the estuary where the pelicans and stingrays feed as the fishermen clean their catch.
  
  Hire includes all equipment, a map, dry bag as well as instruction before you paddle away. Bring a camera, water and a snack to make a morning or an afternoon of it.
