Whale Watching

Port Macquarie whale watching is the best it gets. The gentle giants of the sea, majestic humpback whales, migrate past here non-stop from mid-May to the end of November.

Port Macquarie Cruise Adventures vessel Discovery is a fast 40 foot all weather catamaran and the three fast rigid inflatable boats (RIBs) carry only 12 passengers each to sea so that every person can get that perfect photo. With four boats and headland spotters, there is no trouble finding whales.

In the last few seasons, Port Macquarie Cruise Adventures has also seen Orcas (killer whales), Pilot, Minke, Brydes and Southern Right whales as well as three species of dolphins, sea turtles, manta rays and sharks.
