La Bodeguita Del Medio

Fancy a restaurant experience that transports you not only to another country but to another era? That's exactly what you'll find at La Bodeguita Del Medio, a hip Cuban restaurant and bar that'll make you feel as though you've travelled back to the 1950's.

Start your meal with a delicious ‘ceviche del dia' of fresh snapper, lime juice, chilli and coriander, or try the ‘terrine of chorizo' served with a beautiful pea puree. If you're feeling more adventurous the ‘chilindron de chivo' of braised goat with baked polenta and glazed asparagus is the perfect option, or go for something more traditional like the ‘pastel de cangrejo', a crab pie with parmesan cheese and a crispy puff pastry top. For some truly authentic flavours you can't go past the ‘pollito picante' of spiced spatchcock with chargrilled corn and fresh mango salsa, it's sure to leave your taste buds completely satisfied.

With live Cuban music and the biggest selection of rums in Australia, whether you're after a great meal, or just a great bar, at La Bodeguita Del Medio you can eat, drink and dance the night away!

Flavour of India

While many Indian restaurants come and go, Flavour of India in Edgecliff has become a Sydney institution, having been a favourite on the restaurant scene for over 22 years. Head Chef Hayat Mahamud has created the perfect menu, featuring many of the continent's best dishes, so it's not hard to see why this place is so popular.

If you've never tried goat before the goat curry bakra is a great way to start. The tender, sweet goat meat is sautéed in several spices and then slow cooked with onions and garlic until it falls off the bone. The chicken butter masala is the specialty dish here and after one bite you'll see why. The chicken is first cooked in the tandoor and then served in their signature creamy red masala sauce. There are also some fantastic vegetarian options including the palak paneer, a homemade Indian style cheese with spinach leaves, fresh tomato and onion.

For the perfect accompaniment to your food, Flavour of India also has a fantastic cocktail list, including the delightful ‘Punjabi Fling'. It consists of ginger beer, vodka, lychees, fresh lime and rose petals, it's the perfect way to wash down your delicious Indian feast.
