Bobbin Inn Café

Situated right by the water, in the beautiful Ku-ring-gai Chase National Park, is the Bobbin Inn Café. This great café specializes in serving up simple, fresh food that's affordable and tastes fantastic.

Go for an Aussie favourite with classic fish and chips and they'll even let you choose which fish you'd like (barramundi or snapper) and how you'd like it cooked (grilled or battered). Other tempting options include a succulent T-bone steak, moist grilled chicken or a delicious chicken schnitzel, and you can enjoy them all with a fresh salad and side of crispy potato chips. If you're having trouble deciding the seafood basket is the way to go, it's packed with heaps of tasty treats including prawn cutlets, calamari, crab claws, seafood sticks and battered fish and chips – yum!

Sit indoors or dine alfresco overlooking the lovely waterway, to really soak in the view. Best of all, once you've finished your lunch you can burn it off by hiring one of the café's fantastic paddle boats! You'll have so much fun exploring the area you'll forget you're exercising.

Galley Foods

Still in the stunning Ku-ring-gai Chase National Park, overlooking Cowan's Creek is Galley Foods. Owned and run by dynamic duo, Luci Bell and Morgan Forbes, Galley Foods is serving up some truly fabulous dishes that are guaranteed to satisfy.

To start, try the perfectly seared scallops with a silky black bean puree, potato and truffle pave and wilted spinach. There's the beautifully sweet honey glazed figs with taleggio and a fennel, witlof and prosciutto salad or try the mussels with vermicelli, chilli, tomato, shaved fennel and grated bottarga.

The pan roasted beef fillet is a great choice for a main meal, it's wrapped in prosciutto and comes with oven dried truss tomato, beans, a beautiful garlic butter and red wine jus. Save room for sweets though! The apple tart with calvados anglaise and date ice cream is a great way to finish the meal, or try the delectable rosewater and pistachio cheesecake topped with a generous serve of strawberry compote.
