Sydney Weekender - Sydney International Boat Show

Sydney International Boat Show

Host: Mike Whitney

The Sydney International Boat Show has dropped anchor in Darling Harbour for another year. If you’re a fan of all things nautical you’re guaranteed to be blown away by this event. Start by heading to the My Boating Life precinct where there are heaps of speakers on hand to share their tips, including expert fishermen to give you advice on how to land your dream catch. There’s a Musto Fashion Extravaganza three times a day, showcasing the best in racing and lifestyle apparel, and you can even witness some live cooking demonstrations from Club Marine’s resident chef Bart Beek.

Take a trip back in time with a look at the historic boats walk of fame, or get the kids involved in the annual boat building competition that’ll have you trying to build a seaworthy vessel in just 2 hours. New to the show this year is the Deckhouse Theatrette. It will display short presentations from various exhibitors about the latest and greatest boating products on the market, as well as the latest boating safety info.

Whether you’re looking to purchase a tinnie, or you’re in the market for one of the finest crafted luxury vessels in the world (or maybe you’d just like to pretend you are), the Sydney International Boat Show has it all.
